At Bright Beginnings, our families play an active role in the education of their children. Our classrooms have family communication boards to showcase lesson plans and to document children’s progress. We support parents as primary educators, nurturers, and advocates for their children.

Family Learning Activities at School
Research shows that when parents are involved in their child’s education, they are more likely to be successful in early childhood education and school programs. Therefore, our program supports and encourages families to participate with their children in group activities, including at school and at home. We foster partnerships with our families through supportive activities including Regular Class Newsletters, “Getting to Know You” night, Take-Home Bags, Family Literacy Events, Learning Breakfast, Parent Workshops, Family Book Swap, Cultural Night, and Parent Resource Center. At Bright Beginnings, we believe that when parents and other family members show interest in what their children are learning, provide opportunities to do learning activities at home, and offer encouragement to a child’s learning efforts, the impact can be significant.
